Biography
Katharina Litschig is from Switzerland. She studied under Roel Dieltiens in Zurich and Peter Bruns in Leipzig, while also playing in Spira mirabilis, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, and the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has studied early music in depth, and in particular continuo practice in the eighteenth century, under Kristin von der Goltz and Jan Freiheit. These days, Katharina Litschig frequently plays continuo as a guest of many baroque ensembles and also teaches in a music school in Leipzig.
